Professional therapy, counselling, and mediation services

Attune Connect was built on the understanding that feeling truly heard is one of the most powerful catalysts for change. The name itself reflects this. Attunement is the art of being fully present with another person: receptive, responsive, and free from judgement. It’s the foundation of every session we hold, and the standard we hold ourselves to in every interaction, from your very first enquiry through to your final appointment. For us, therapy isn’t simply a clinical transaction. It’s a collaborative relationship built on mutual respect, genuine curiosity, and the understanding that you are the expert on your own life.

We recognise that seeking support is rarely straightforward. There can be uncertainty about whether what you’re experiencing is “serious enough,” hesitation about what therapy actually involves, or simply not knowing where to begin. At Attune Connect, we want to remove as many of those barriers as possible, which is why we offer flexible appointment formats, keep our enquiry process simple and judgement-free, and maintain a commitment to regularly checking in on whether our approach is actually working for you. We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all model of care. We believe in finding what works for you, and adjusting until we do.

Portrait of Attune Connect's founder and psychologist, Kira Schlusser.

Our philosophy is shaped by a deep respect for the complexity of human experience. Before founding Attune Connect, Kira spent years working as a biochemist and environmental scientist; disciplines that require rigorous systems thinking, a tolerance for ambiguity, and an appreciation for how interconnected everything is.

After branching into psychology, Kira began drawing upon this scientific mindset to inform the way she approaches each client: methodically, without assumptions, and always with an eye on the broader context of a person’s life. Paired with her clinical training across multiple evidence-based modalities, Kira brings both analytical precision and genuine warmth to her work.

Our approach

At Attune Connect, we draw upon a broad toolkit of evidence-based modalities to meet each client where they are. The approach that’s right for someone processing trauma will look different to the one that best supports a couple navigating conflict, or individuals working through a breakdown in communication within post-separation parenting dynamics.

At the start of every therapeutic relationship, Kira takes the time to understand not just the presenting concern, but the fuller context of your life. From there, the work evolves. Using a Feedback Informed Treatment framework, Kira actively monitors progress and welcomes honest reflection on what’s working and what isn’t, so the support you receive remains genuinely responsive throughout.
